TTCS RECOGNIZES OUTSTANDING STUDENTS OF THE YEAR – JOHN BEILER WINNER

John Beiler, an Industrial Maintenance student, was named local winner of the Tennessee Technology Center at Shelbyville Outstanding Student of the Year program on October 3, 2012. The announcement was made by Kate Jacobs, Outstanding Student of the Year coordinator.
John is a resident of Huntland, TN, and resides there with his wife, Christie, and children, Brent, Brandon, and Beth. John is one of a select few chosen by Nissan North America in Decherd, TN to participate in the Maintenance Apprenticeship Program. He will move on to regional competition to be held in December of 2012 in Nashville.
The Tennessee Board of Regents, Office of Tennessee Technology Centers sponsors the Outstanding Student of the Year program statewide.
"The Outstanding Student of the Year program," said Kate Jacobs, "seeks to spotlight the importance of technical education in today's world of work and to recognize outstanding achievement by students attending Tennessee Technology Centers.”
In addition to Beiler, four other students were recognized for their outstanding achievement, character and leadership. They are Eric Hill, an Industrial Electricity student from Manchester, TN, Rhett Turner, a Computer Information Technology student from Tullahoma, TN, Jay Eaton, an Industrial Maintenance student at the Fayetteville campus, from Fayetteville, TN, and Josue Flores, an Industrial Maintenance student from Shelbyville, TN.
John was nominated by his instructor, Butch Arnold, and chosen by selected faculty and staff members of the Technology Center through an internal screening process.
