January 2011 Register Personal Computers/Phones To Use the School's Network

Beginning in January 2011,  if you elect to use the network at TTC Shelbyville with your personal device (laptop, netbook, iPhone, iPad, iPod, Android, Blackberry or other device), you must register the device with the IT department in order to use this service.

In order to control these mobile devices, the MAC address of these devices must be registered with the control server.

Use of TTC Shelbyville Network
Students or Vistors who wish to use the school network with their personal computing device must register that device with the IT Department.  In order to register the device, the IT Department must have the MAC address of the device.   Here's were to find your MAC address -

iPhone  -  Navigate to Settings - General - About
iPad      -   Navigate to Settings - General - About
iPod      -   Navigate to Settings - General - About
Droid    -    Settings - About Phone - Status
Blackberry - Home Screen  - Options - Status
Windows XP - Click Start - Run - type cmd - enter - type ipconfig /all
Windows 7  -   Click Orb (Windows logo circle - formerly start in XP) - type cmd - enter - typeipconfig/all

Students may bring personal equipment to the school and use the school's wireless network.  (Wireless Availability covers the entire school.) Students must abide by the polices set forth at TTC Shelbyville.  The IT staff reserve the right to remove equipment from the school's network for safety and security
