Welcome to the Tennessee Technology Center at Shelbyville. Applying for this program is slightly different from any other program we have here at the Center. We are giving you this sheet to help answer as many questions as possible. However, if you still have questions, please feel free to contact us. We’re here to help. There is one full-time program that lasts for two trimesters. Along with a Patient Care Technician diploma, a student can receive four individual certificates - Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), Phlebotomy Technician, Electrocardiography (EKG) Technician, and CPR for the Healthcare Provider. It is offered in Fayetteville only and meets Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. until 2:15 p.m. The program is 8 months in length. Please check with Student Services for starting dates. Travel is required to different sites for both clinicals and labs. Also, a computer with internet access is helpful at home or access to one is recommended. Starting dates for the 2007-2008 school year are September 5, 2007 and May 1, 2008. All applications are handled through the main campus in Shelbyville by contacting the Student Services Department. DO NOT contact the campus in Fayetteville, they will simply refer you back to Shelbyville. |
